Dirty Dike Free mixtape!

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

This isn’t strictly a Delegates thing, but seen as Dike is a fellow school bully records soldier, and a dope MC from Cambridge, we fully support him!

Click this text to download his new mixtape “the 24hr quackpig rufflin mixtape” for free and get yourself warmed up for a sick new solo album on School bully later this year.

Dike is also part of Contact Play and SMB, who are really doing their thing at the moment, so don’t be late on the bandwagon!!!!

So, Inja’s back and this time he’s brought his compadre from Delegates of Culture, Skuff. While still riding on the success of the former’s huge single, “Hat Low“, they’re releasing more hip-hop-dubstep-electro-funk madness but this time in the form of a full length album.

Today we have London Mayor (and Oxford classics graduate) Boris Johnson tackling the latest LP by Cambridge UK hip-hop outfit Delegates of Culture. (Yes, we know this album is a bit old but we gave Mayor Johnson the CD about six months ago but he’s been too busy planning an underground airline to replace the Jubilee Line to send us a review until now.)

Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

After ten years of larking around together and occasionally throwing out a record or two, Delegates of Culture have put together their second full-lengther. Wednesday, March 31st, 2010

Cambridge’s finest step forth on this LP to remind us all why we should be paying attention to their lot in the first place. With Inja’s album having made a nice impact last year and a ton of work for the various members of the crew in recent months (including mixtapes, open mics, an Inja and Nappa 12” and more) this new ‘Patchwork Gideon’ LP is their latest sonic assault and shows them at their very best.

Matt Grant hooked up with the crew to chat on their background, Cambridge, freestyling and future releases. Conducted in June.

Having earned respect for their fine releases and energetic freestyle sessions, these boys are fast emerging as one of the most talented and original groups in the UK – Noizemag hooks up with crew member Toe for a quick chat…
